Mexico allows the return of activities in the automotive, construction and mining industries

Four agreements for the progressive lifting of containment measures against COVID-19 announced by the General Health Council. 

From its Twitter account, the Council indicated that it approved four agreements for the progressive lifting of containment measures against COVID-19, and reported that the construction, mining and manufacture of transport equipment will be added to the list of essential activities, so they can return to their activities.

Recall that in March, the Undersecretary of  Health, Hugo López-Gatell,  released the list of essential activities:

-Financial sectors and that of tax collection, that is, the  Tax Administration Service (SAT).

-Distribution and sale of energy, gas stations and gas.

-Generation and distribution of drinking water.

-Food and non-alcoholic beverages industry, food markets, supermarkets, self-service stores, grocery and prepared food sales.

-Passenger and cargo transportation services.

-Agricultural, fishing and livestock production, agro-industry, chemistry.

-Cleaning products, hardware stores, courier services, guards in private security tasks.

-Nurseries and nurseries (in support of workers in essential sectors).

-Asylums and stays for the elderly, shelters and support centers for women victims of violence, as well as for their daughters and sons.

-Telecommunications, information services.

-Private emergency services, funeral and burial services.

-Storage and cold chain of essential supplies.

-Logistics (includes airports, ports and railways).
