Coahuila consolidates itself as a benchmark in job creation

Since the economic reactivation began in the state, Coahuila has been characterized as one of the entities with the best labor indicators , which reflects its competitiveness in different industries.

New projects have been a constant in the last year, since during 2021 it managed to attract 1,043 million dollars in direct foreign investment , with the United States being the main country that injects capital into the state.

One of the benefits that these investments have left has been the generation of jobs, despite the fact that more than 40,000 jobs were lost at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the numbers now reflect a clear recovery, since there have been more than 60,000 new jobs in the last 24 months, according to data provided by the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).

The Ministry of Labor has carried out different strategies for the generation of jobs, one of them has been the employment fairs, a dynamic that is held two to three times a month in different areas of the entity.

On this occasion, it was Saltillo’s turn, where the recruitment day brought together 44 manufacturing companies and more than 1,600 jobs were offered ; In that sense, Nazira Zogbi Castro, head of the unit, said that they are increasing the participation of recently graduated professionals or students who are about to finish their career, in order to get involved as soon as possible in the productive sector.

“Coahuila broke a record of jobs generated the previous quarter, they were figures that had never been had in the IMSS, for which it generates a commitment to continue working, but also that the jobs are well paid and formal”, stressed the official.

He also highlighted the participation of representatives of small and medium-sized local businesses, which helps to increase the level of the value chain.

In turn, Arturo Manzo, manager of the Jensen plant in Ramos Arizpe , added that it is very important to give value to hiring employees who have just completed their academic preparation, since they are future talent and must gain experience.
